My tank has been set up for 3 days and the water is getting cloudy/milky. I added beneficial bacteria starter on day 1. Is this a normal bacterial bloom? Should I do a water change or just wait?
testuser2 Finally set up my first tank. Went with a 60cm community setup. Added some dwarf gouramis and blue velvet shrimp. Water is still a bit cloudy but the filter is running. Excited to see how it develops!
testuser1 Found some amazing spider wood at the local fish store today. Planning to use it in a new scape. The pieces have great branching structure.
I set up this tank 3 weeks ago and now I am seeing brown diatom algae on the Anubias leaves. Is this normal for a new tank? Should I reduce lighting hours or just wait it out? Currently running 8 hours of light per day.
testuser1 The Java moss is starting to attach to the driftwood. Amazon swords are sending out new leaves. Cherry shrimp colony is growing — counted at least 8 berried females!
testuser1 pH: 6.8, KH: 4, GH: 6, NH3: 0, NO2: 0, NO3: 10ppm. Finally dialed in the CO2 — drop checker is lime green. Fish are active and eating well.

Admin1 血鸚鵡並非自然界存在的物種，而是由兩種中南美洲慈鯛（通常認為是紅魔鬼與紫紅火口）人工雜交培育而成的。 牠們最明顯的特徵是圓滾滾的身形，以及像鸚鵡嘴巴一樣無法完全閉合的三角形小嘴。雖然牠們看起來很可愛，但由於繼承了慈鯛的基因，其實具有一定的領地意識。有趣的是，因為牠們的嘴型構造，攻擊力比一般慈鯛弱很多，頂多只是「推擠」其他魚。 這類魚在水族缸中非常顯眼，但也因為嘴巴的構造，建議餵食容易入口的小顆粒浮性飼料。
Admin1 等了三週，小水晶蝦終於孵出來了！超級迷你，大概只有 2-3mm，幾乎透明的。用放大鏡才看得清楚，已經有水晶蝦特有的紅白花紋了。數了一下大概有 18 隻小蝦在莫絲叢裡面躲著。櫻花蝦那邊也有幾隻抱蛋的，感覺蝦口要爆炸了。
Admin1 養了快三個月，水榕竟然開花了！從葉子中間長出一根白色的花莖，頂端開了一朵小白花。查了一下資料說水榕在水中開花很少見，代表水質環境很好。青木蕨也長了好多小苗，從老葉上冒出來的。低科技缸果然也能養得很好。
