Hyphessobrycon eques — Black-flag Tetra

The Serpae Tetra, also known as the Jewel Tetra, has a vivid red-orange body with a distinctive black shoulder spot and a black dorsal fin tipped with white. It is a spirited schooling fish from the Amazon Basin but is known to nip the fins of slow-moving tankmates. Keeping it in larger schools helps reduce aggressive behavior.
