Macropodus sp. — Blue Marble Gourami

This undescribed Macropodus species features a striking blue marble pattern over a pearl-white base, believed to be a naturally occurring color variant or regional form of the paradise fish complex from southern China. Like its congeners it is a resilient labyrinth fish that tolerates a wide range of water parameters and temperatures. Males display vivid coloration and extended finnage during breeding, though they can be combative with rival males.
