Phenacogrammus interruptus — Congo Tetra
The Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus) is a spectacular African tetra from the Congo River Basin, prized for its large, flowing fins and dazzling iridescent body that shimmers in blue, gold, and orange under aquarium lighting. Males develop particularly impressive extended dorsal and tail fin filaments. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water and looks most impressive when kept in large schools in spacious, well-planted aquariums.
