The Emperor Blue Tetra is a jewel of the hobby, displaying a deep royal blue body with reddish-orange fins that create a striking contrast. Related to the Imperial Tetra complex, it hails from slow-moving, blackwater tributaries of South America. Soft, warm, acidic water replicating its natural blackwater habitat brings out its most vivid coloration.
