Hemitheconyx caudicinctus — Fat-tailed Deco Gecko

The African Fat-tailed Gecko is a close relative of the Leopard Gecko, native to the savannas and rocky outcrops of West Africa, distinguished by its broader, more uniform head, slightly stockier build, and brown banding pattern that may include a dorsal white stripe. It is more tolerant of higher humidity than Leopard Geckos and tends to be calmer in temperament. Fat-tailed Geckos store energy reserves in their characteristic thick tails.
