Trichogaster trichopterus — Gold Gourami

Gold Gourami is a selectively bred color variant of the Three-spot Gourami, displaying a warm golden-orange body that shimmers under aquarium lighting. Originally from Southeast Asian slow-moving waters, these labyrinth fish are hardy and adaptable, capable of breathing atmospheric air. Males can be territorial toward other gouramis, so tank mates should be chosen with care.
