Paracheirodon simulans — Green Neon Tetra

The Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans) is the smallest of the three Paracheirodon tetras, closely resembling the neon tetra but with a longer, more vivid green-blue stripe and less prominent red coloration. It is native to the upper Rio Negro and Orinoco blackwater systems in South America. This delicate species demands pristine, soft, warm, acidic water and is best kept in large schools in a mature planted tank.
