Apistogramma baenschi — Inca Parrot Dwarf Cichlid
Apistogramma baenschi, commonly called the Inca Dwarf Cichlid, originates from the Huallaga River in Peru and is one of the most vibrantly colored Apistogramma species. Males display a distinctive checkerboard pattern of dark scales over a golden-yellow body, with a bold black lateral stripe. They prefer soft, acidic water and appreciate caves or coconut shells for breeding.
