Symphysodon aequifasciatus — Leopard Discus
Leopard Discus are a selectively bred variety of discus cichlid featuring the classic tall, laterally compressed discus body shape adorned with bold spotted or leopard-like patterning over a vibrant base color. Native to the Amazon River basin, discus require warm (28–30°C), very soft, acidic water and are considered one of the most demanding fish in the freshwater hobby. They are highly social and best kept in groups of six or more with similarly sized, peaceful tank mates.
