Baryancistrus chrysolomus (L047) — Mango Pleco (L047)
The Mango Pleco is endemic to the Xingu River in Brazil, a fast-flowing blackwater tributary known for high temperatures and very soft, acidic water. Adults reach nearly 30 cm and feed primarily on diatoms and invertebrate larvae associated with fine sediments. In captivity they require excellent water flow, pristine water quality, and a varied diet to thrive.
