Oryzias javanicus — Medaka

Oryzias javanicus, the Javanese Ricefish, is a slender, translucent silver-blue medaka species native to coastal and brackish waters of Java and Southeast Asia. It is a hardy, adaptable fish that can tolerate a wide range of salinities from fresh to slightly brackish. Peaceful and active, it does well in groups in calm, well-planted aquariums.
