Trichopodus leerii — Pearl Gourami
The Pearl Gourami is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful labyrinth fish in the hobby, with a warm brownish body covered in pearl-white spots and a bold dark horizontal stripe running from snout to tail. Native to the peat swamps and slow streams of Thailand and the Malay Peninsula, it is a gentle, peaceful fish well-suited to community aquaria. Males develop an orange-red throat during courtship, adding to their already stunning display.
