Hyphessobrycon sp. — Purple Crown Tetra

The Purple Crown Tetra is a stunning undescribed trade species of Hyphessobrycon prized for its deep violet-purple body with a greenish iridescent sheen and elongated, ribbon-like fins. It is a peaceful schooling fish best appreciated in a densely planted aquarium with dark substrate to bring out its regal coloration. Relatively rare in the hobby, it commands attention in any display tank.
