Planorbarius corneus — Red Apple Snail
The Red Apple Snail, also known as the Ramshorn Snail, has a coiled, disc-shaped shell ranging from red to dark brown, with a vibrant reddish body. It is a prolific scavenger that feeds on algae, decaying plant matter, and uneaten food, but may nibble on soft-leaved plants. Native to European and western Asian freshwaters, it is extremely hardy but can reproduce rapidly in aquariums.
