Ancistrus sp. — Red Sail Fin Bristlenose Pleco
A captive-bred ornamental variant of the popular bristlenose (bushynose) pleco, distinguished by elongated red-tinged fins and the characteristic bristle tentacles on the snout of males. Bristlenose plecos are among the most commonly kept loricariids due to their manageable size and algae-eating behavior. They are cave spawners and will readily breed in aquariums with suitable hiding spots.
