Atyoida pilipes — Stone pattern amano shrimp

The Stone Pattern Shrimp (Atyoida pilipes) is a fan shrimp relative with a mottled grey and brown body resembling river stone, providing excellent natural camouflage. It is a filter feeder that uses specialized fan-like appendages to capture fine particles and microorganisms from the water current. Native to fast-flowing mountain streams across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, it requires good oxygenation and steady water movement.
